This includes both migrations within the same technology family, such as Siemens S5 to S7-1500, and complete conversions from entirely different PLC or HMI environments. The activity typically covers analysis of the existing system, hardware and software assessment, I/O mapping, signal verification, application rewriting or conversion, HMI redesign, testing and commissioning. Particular attention is given to preserving plant functionality, reducing downtime, maintaining operator familiarity where useful, and ensuring a controlled transition toward a more reliable and scalable automation architecture.
